Beaumont Chamber Foundation Golf Tournament
The Beaumont Chamber Foundation golf tournament began in 2001 as a fund raiser to benefit Leadership Beaumont, a nine-month community awareness and leadership development program. The golf tournament is held yearly on the last Monday in September. This year the date is September 24, 2012. It is an afternoon tournament held at Idylwild Golf Club. Spice of the Season is a culinary event, traditionally held in July or August, formatted to involve the community in an evening of fun, laughter and entertainment, with attendees being served a delicious cuisine. Youth Leadership 8th Grade Student Program
Leadership Beaumont provides youth leadership programs of middle school and high school students. Sponsorships to underwrite the cost of the program are contributions to the Beaumont Chamber Foundation, a 501c3 TAX DEDUCTIBLE organization. 42 eighth grade students are selected each year to participate in a one-day college environment, leadership development program conducted on the campuses of Lamar University and Lamar Institute of Technology. The students attend classes on the two campuses, are given tours, eat in the dining hall with college students and attend afternoon interactive sessions directed to help them learn to work in groups and further their leadership development skills. Parents are invited to a closing session to receive college financial aid, preparation and entrance information. The program is conducted in November of each year.

Youth Leadership John Ben Shepperd Student Youth Leadership Forum
Leadership Beaumont provides youth leadership programs for middle school and high school students.
