Congratulations!
Yesterday we hit the $100,000 mark, with sponsorships sold by Bill Montgomery of Copyworks! Congratulations to all of you, and thank you for getting us this far. Now let's get that next $100,000!
Lunch
It was nice to see so many of you yesterday at the first celebration lunch! We hope that you can all join us again next Thursday at noon at the University of Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame at 2425 Prairie Meadow Drive, Iowa City. Any team that brings every single member will get a prize! In honor of UI homecoming, we'll be doing a footbal/tailgate theme!
Tip of the Week
NOW is the time to be making your sponsorship and membership calls. Though some companies can turn around a contract in one day, for others it will take a some time and a few follow up calls to close a sale. We have only 5 weeks left! You want to give yourself plenty of time to secure the sale AND ensure that your potential sponsors have the widest range of options available early in the campaign.
Do Not Call list
I will be maintaining a "do not call" list, which will be posted in the "newsletter" section of the web-site. This list includes companies that have specifically asked not to be called in relation to this campaign, and should be fairly short (last year we only had 7 or 8 total by the end). Please help us respect their wishes by checking this regularly. Note that this is NOT a list for companies that you are currently in conversation with or would like to "reserve" for yourself.
