3. Raising Highly Capable Kids Parent Workshop 2023

In 2022 the Longview Chamber will support the Boys and Girls Club of the Piney Woods in providing a 13-week parent engagement workshop. The purpose of the program is to empower families for success. Studies have shown that when parents are able to help their children establish these 40 Developmental Assets, their kids are more likely to exhibit positive behaviors rather than negative ones. Business and community leaders will attend a train-the-trainer's workshop and serve as a co-facilitator for the classes.
