Similar to an AM Exchange, the Connect @ 4 structure is designed to build stronger relationships through small group discussions.
Event Perks - Ability to host the event at your business or partner with another Chamber member location of your choice. The Chamber takes all registrations and provides name tags. Most importantly, you have the opportunity to open your doors, physically or virtually, to potential customers.
With 5 minutes of built-in FACE time, you may address attendees and share information about your company, upcoming events, or specials. Sponsors are encouraged to add excitement to the event by collecting business cards for a drawing from those in attendance. *When the Chamber receives prize drawing information (two weeks in advance) we can include that information to help promote the excitement in the electronic invitation. Sponsors receive an electronic listing of all attendees with their contact information after the event for additional follow up.
Recognition - The company receives publicity on www.uniquelyurbandale.com and www.desmoinesmetro.com PM Round Table - Connect @ 4 event listing as host of the event. In addition, as the host, you have the attendees' undivided attention for 5 minutes to showcase during the event.
Hosts are asked to provide light refreshments for attendees and have enough space at the office/chosen location to distance attendees. Groups can break off into different rooms if this structure works best for your space.
The April Connect @ 4 event is scheduled for April 12 from 4-5 p.m.
2021 Event Host Policy
In 2021, event hosts will be able to decide if they would like to host their events in-person and virtually, which we define as a hybrid event or virtual only. An email will be sent to you six weeks prior to your event asking you to provide your event format preference. We will also discuss the likelihood of a virtual-only required format due to positivity rates in Polk County. You will also be asked to choose one of the virtual marketing options, even if you are choosing the hybrid format. Having your virtual option on file will assist us to move forward in the event we are required to move to a virtual format due to any social distancing guidelines.
If you would like to host your event in-person (hybrid), you may do so as long as the Urbandale Chamber Board Policy, at the time of the scheduled event, allows for in-person gatherings. Please write "Hybrid" in the Special Instructions box below to indicate your preference to hold an in-person and virtual hybrid event.
Please note, if the Urbandale Chamber Board Policy dictates that events must be held virtually, the event will be taken virtual and registered guests will be notified. At that time, the event host will receive their choice of the Extra Virtual Event Perks.
Attendance for in-person events may have their maximum number of attendees limited based on social distancing requirements. A virtual option will also be available for attendees to meet our members where they are most comfortable.
If the company would like to hold their event virtually, please write "Virtual Event" in the Special Instructions box below. The Company may also indicate which Extra Virtual Event Perk they would like to have as a special benefit for virtual events.
Virtual Event Extra Perks: If you choose to hold your event virtually or are required to take the event virtual due to Urbandale Chamber Board of Directors policy, please choose one of the following benefits. Virtual events are defined as events that are held using an online platform with no in-person components.
1. Chamber Chat ($295 value): Share your organization's story, promotions, and upcoming events during a pre-recorded Chamber Chat with an Urbandale Chamber staff member. This interview-style video will be posted on the Urbandale Chamber's Facebook page to potentially reach our over 4,600 Facebook followers.
2. Facebook Live Tour ($325 value): Share your organization's space by giving our over 4,600 Facebook followers a live tour of your office space. Urbandale Chamber staff will come and shoot the Facebook Live tour while a representative of your organization walks through the important aspects of your business.
3. E-Newsletter Banner Ad ($295 value): Reach more than 3,300 business professionals in and around the Urbandale area through the Chamber's e-newsletter. The advertisement size is 1" x 8 1/2" full color and it hyperlinks to the sponsor's web site. On average, the e-newsletter has an open rate of 22.5%, which is +6% over the industry average, and a click rate of 8.66%, which is on par with the industry average.
4. E-Newsletter Article ($295 value): Provide an educational article for the Chamber's e-newsletter to share your business's expertise with potentially over 3,300 different business professionals. This article would be a great way to share news about your organization or other information that only your business can provide.
5. "Get to Know Our Members" Facebook Post ($295 value): Share your business with the over 4,600 followers of the Urbandale Chamber Facebook page with a post highlighting your business, a promotion, or an event of your choosing. You will need to provide the content, copy, and any hashtags you would like to promote. Your Facebook page will be tagged to encourage our followers to interact with your page. In addition, we will pay to boost the post to reach an additional 1,500 people, for a total reach of potentially 6,100 people.
