Showcase your business by hosting a genYPM Networking event from 4:00 - 5:00 pm on September 9, 2021.

Event Perks - Ability to host the event at your business. Chamber staff takes all registrations and provides name tags. You also receive an electronic listing of all attendees with their contact information after the event for additional follow up.

Recognition - The company receives publicity in the event listing on www.uniquelyurbandale.com and www.desmoinesmetro.com as the event host. Sponsor recognition is also given on the genYP social media pages. In addition, as host, you have the attendees' undivided attention for 7 minutes to showcase during the event.

Hosts are asked to provide hors d'oeuvres and beverages. Hosts should have enough space at the office/chosen location to distance attendees.

2021 genYP Event Format Policy
In 2021, event hosts will be able to decide if they would like to host their events in-person and virtually, which we define as a hybrid event or virtual only. An email will be sent to you six weeks prior to your event asking you to provide your event format preference. We will also discuss the likelihood of a virtual-only required format due to positivity rates in Polk County. You will also be asked to choose one of the virtual marketing options, even if you are choosing the hybrid format. Having your virtual option on file will assist us to move forward in the event we are required to move to a virtual format due to any social distancing guidelines.
If you would like to host your event in-person (hybrid), you may do so as long as the Urbandale Chamber Board Policy, at the time of the scheduled event, allows for in-person gatherings. Please write "Hybrid" in the Special Instructions box below to indicate your preference to hold an in-person and virtual hybrid event.

Please note, if the Urbandale Chamber Board Policy dictates that events must be held virtually, the event will be taken virtual and registered guests will be notified.

Attendance for in-person events may have their maximum number of attendees limited based on social distancing requirements. A virtual option will also be available for attendees to meet our members where they are most comfortable.

If the company would like to hold their event virtually, please write "Virtual Event" in the Special Instructions box below. The Company may also indicate which Extra Virtual Event Perk they would like to have as a special benefit for virtual events.
Virtual Event Extra Perks: If you choose to hold your event virtually or are required to take the event virtual due to Urbandale Chamber Board of Directors policy, please choose one of the following benefits. Virtual events are defined as events that are held using an online platform with no in-person components.

1. genYP Chat ($100 value): Share your organization's story, promotions, and upcoming events during a pre-recorded genYP with a member of genYP's leadership team. This interview-style video will be posted on genYP's Facebook page to potentially reach our over 750 Facebook followers.

2. genYP E-Newsletter Article ($125 value): Provide an educational article for genYP's e-newsletter to share your expertise with potentially 100 genYP young professionals. This article would be a great way to share news about your organization or other information that only your business can provide. On average, the genYP e-newsletter has an average open rate of 37.9% and an average click rate of 5.4%.

3. "Get to Know Our Members" Facebook Post ($150 value): Share your business with the over 750 followers of the genYP Facebook page with a post highlighting your business, a promotion, or an event of your choosing. You will need to provide the content, copy, and any hashtags you would like to promote. Your Facebook page will be tagged to encourage our followers to interact with your page. In addition, we will pay to boost the post to reach an additional 750 people, for a total reach of potentially 1,500 people.
